It’s a pleasure for me to recommend Tammie to you as an excellent Speech-Language Pathologist. My son made giant steps in his speech and social skills progress while working with Miss Tammie. Luke and Tammie worked together from when he was 5 until he was 9 and he “graduated” from Speech. He loved coming to speech and talking with Tammie every week.
Tammie always presented a reliable and interesting program to Luke. She also went out of her way to research innovative ways to approach my son’s needs. Her consistency mixed with a push to learn new things were just the approach my son, who has a form of high-functioning autism, needed.
Over the four years Tammie worked with Luke, she faced many challenges, including having the offices she worked at burn down. I always saw Tammie approaching difficulties like this with an upbeat, positive attitude. Her optimistic look at life is wonderful, and serves her well in her vocation. Again, I only have high praise for Miss Tammie and highly recommend her and her speech therapy program.

I knew from the moment that I met Tammie that there something about her and her warm smile. She was referred to us when our son, at the time 2, (born three months premature) was assessed as behind in his speech. From our first session she had put both my husband, I and especially our son, Jacob, at ease. She was (always) reliable, organized, friendly, patient and creative. In the beginning our son had a hard time focusing and being interested, but yet curious. She learned his personality and worked with it, as he did with her, and in no time Jacob was at the front window every Tuesday morning anxiously waiting for her. Her creative side captured his attention, her knowledgeable side kept me informed as I always had some questions. She gave us ideas and input on how to put her work into our everyday lives to help Jacob’s speech, sounds, and vocabulary to grow, adding more accomplishments to our family as we grow together. Our son, now 4, has a vocabulary that grows daily, he's a vibrant little boy, full of life, that can hold a conversation with you like a little man :) We have absolutely no doubt in the world that Tammie had such a big part of that. She has provided stepping stools for him that will continue to grow with him. You can absolutely tell that Tammie's genuine personality cares about wanting to make an impact on little ones, to have one of the most blessed natural given talents we are given, communication. Thank You Tammie. We wish you all the best on your growing future, as you have helped our son’s future to grow.

My son Danny received speech therapy services from Tammie for one year. Tammie possesses that unique combination of skilled professionalism with genuine interest and enthusiasm in children. My son's face lit up whenever we told him it was Wednesday, because that is when Tammie came to our house “to play”. He would run to meet her at the door and help carry her large bag of games/activities. Her gentle demeanor yet ever present persistence were what I believe helped Danny the most. He went from uttering less than 50 words at age
2 to answering in complete sentences by age 3. When he began school at 3 and had some transitional issues, she was right there to help bridge the gap for him by providing some assistance to his teachers at school, even when she was no longer officially working with him. Now at 4, I can't get him to stop talking!! She was his first official teacher and I believe laid an important foundation for him in his current and future success in school. Your child will be very
fortunate to work with such a dedicated professional and caring person.

Tammie evaluated both my daughter, Payton, and my son, for speech problems and worked extensively with Payton to correct her speech problems when she was young. She actually looked forward to going to sessions with Tammie because they were fun. She responded extremely well to Tammie's enthusiasm and attitude, as well as to the idea of earning stickers for small treats for her hard work. Payton improved in leaps and bounds... much faster than she had with other therapists. It is obvious that Tammie enjoys her work with children and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of a speech therapist.

My daughter Jayla began working with Tammie when she was just a little over 1 year old. We were having problems with her speech and behavior. Jayla wasn't really talking much and didn't have many words in her vocabulary. She couldn't identify colors, shapes or objects. As a parent you really don’t want to admit that there is something wrong with your child or that your child needs extra help. But Tammie took her time with her and befriended her. Tammie worked with Jayla till she was 3 years old. They did colors, shapes, animals and much more. Tammie helped my child so much. She understands how kids with needs, need to be treated and a little special treatment can go a long way. For that I thank Tammie so much for helping my child and me in so many different ways.

Tammie you are a great person and great with kids! I have nothing but great things to say about you and your work with my son Christopher. He enjoyed every time you came over to work with him. You made every visit a great experience for him. He didn't even notice he was putting in work so to speak. I don't think that he would be speaking as well as he is now without your help. I want to thank you for all the progress he has made! He is now doing very well in preschool. Believe it or not, still asks about you here and there.

It has been over a year since we came to see Tammie about speech therapy treatment for my son, Matthew. He had some issues with the letters, R, SH, and TH to name a few. Matthew was not only tested on his letters, but a complete comprehensive evaluation was completed. During his therapy lessons Tammie incorporated a few other areas that he needed assistance with while working on his speech; which was much appreciated. After two years, Matthew was able to pronounce his letters correctly and incorporate them into everyday speech without any further issues. Tammie provided such a comfortable environment for Matthew that he talks about her all the time. Matthew had a very positive learning experience with Tammie for two years.
Matthew was also a shy boy when we first met Tammie. It was great that Tammie not only worked on his speech, but she incorporated other developmental skills to help him get over his shyness when meeting new people. The way Tammie incorporated his speech lessons with conversational tactics really helped Matthew be successful. This a testament that Tammie is a great Teacher and her future students will be very lucky to have her as a Speech Therapist.
-Sandra, mother of Matthew
Having Tammie as our daughter's speech therapist was a blessing. She was able to work through my daughter’s extreme shyness and anxiety, which was crucial to helping her with her speech. She was patient and encouraging and always happy to answer my many many questions. She not only helped enrich my daughter's life but our whole family's.

My son Myles was diagnosed with a speech delay at 18 months. We started in-home sessions with Tammie which he greatly enjoyed. Myles would look forward to his weekly “playtime” with Tammie and his language development progressed quickly. By 24 months, Myles was talking up a storm! By 31 months, he no longer qualified for speech therapy. In fact, he was above his age level in many areas of language! We loved our time with Tammie and had a hard time ending our work together!
-Jennifer, mother of Myles
It was a real pleasure working with Tammie. Every time Tammie came to our house she
would light up Eli's face. Not only did she make his experience exciting
but she was there whenever he felt sad. He loved her hugs!! She was
there for both of us. Even after my son's last day of Speech Therapy,
Tammie helped me in my child’s transition to school which was very hard
for me. Eli is now doing great! Every time I have a chance I show him the
home video I recorded of the last day Tammie came to our house. I want him
to always remember a great person helped him achieve his goals. Thank
you so much from the bottom of our hearts!!
-Rocio, mother of Eli
I wanted to say thank you to Tammie for all the hard work and dedication she put into helping my son, Damian, with his speech. It was hard to accept in the beginning that Damian indeed had a speech problem, and I was reluctant to let a stranger in my home every Thursday, but Tammie came into our home and made Damian and myself very comfortable. With her help he progressed so much. She was so kind to Damian and he took a liking to her. We grew to love her visits every week. Only wish that she could still be here to work with him.
-Erin, mother of Damian
When my son Allan started seeing Tammie at 2 years old he only had a few words in his vocabulary. He had difficulty communicating and expressing his needs in complete sentences. Tammie recognized the level he was performing at and began to develop a plan that would focus on improving his overall ability to comprehend what was spoken to him and to improve his language skills so that he would be understood by others. Allan attended weekly sessions with Tammie over a period of 4 years. During this time we saw tremendous improvement in his comprehension and speech development. Tammie was always very professional and sensitive to Allan’s learning styles and incorporated those techniques into his sessions. Now Allan is doing very well in Kindergarten, making friends and expressing his needs and wants to everyone!
